Microsoft founder, Bill Gates has risen stronger maintaining his number one spot in the list of great men across the globe with running billions in dollars. Despite releasing $4.6 billion worth of Microsoft stock this summer to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates remains the richest man in the world with $85.4 billion. Gates has been the richest person in the world for 18 out of the past 23 years the evaluation has started.
Amazon founder and CEO Buff Bezos late July surpassed Gates worth but it lasted for just a morning before dropping to worth $81.7 billion to place the second richest living person on the planet. In 2013, Bezos purchased the Washington Post for $250 million.
The co-founder and the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg is the third richest person in the world. Mark was Harvard University dropout, he founded Facebook in 2004 at the age of 19 which was meant for his classmates before he took the platform to a global level in May 2012. He owns about 17% of the influential social media platform. Mark now worth $69.6 billion.

Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle software firm which was founded in 1977 took the fourth position as the world richest person with a worth of 59.3 billion net assets. Ellison has since 2014 given up the CEO role of Oracle but still, serves as the Chairman of the board and chief technology officer. In 2016, Ellison pledge to give $200 million to the University of Southern California for a cancer treatment center.
