A police officer, Abraham Arowogun, attached to the Kajola Police Station, Kajola of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has killed himself after killing his senior police colleague.
Late Arowogun was said to have early the day shot dead his boss at work, SP Timothy Aruehi who was until his death the Divisional Crime Officer in the station. They were said to have engaged each other in heavy disagreement over money.
It was gathered that SP Aruehi had queried Arowogun for a diverted money he was accused to have diverted into private use while investigating a case.
"Arowogun was investigating a case and the DCO discovered that a sum of N150,000 was involved. He further discovered that he (Arowogun) had actually converted the money to private use.
The DCO (Aruehi) called and querried him for the action.
In the course of interrogating him, he stormed out angrily. He returned with a gun which he used to shoot Aruehi to dead.

"After killing the DCO, he knew that what he did was unprofessional and unpardonable in the Police force.He just left the scene and jumped into the well at the back of the station.
It was further gathered that other police officers present at the station when the incident occurred fled the station for safety. Arowogun was, however, said not to have any mental issue before.
The remains of the two police officers have been deposited in a mortuary in Ondo State General Hospital, Ore.
The incident was confirmed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph who revealed that investigation had started into the case.
