The Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi. on Sunday make history increasing the number of the crowned royal father in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State capital from one to 22.

The governor who was presenting staffs of office to the 21 newly installed kings, revealed that he was not any bad relationship with the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji who was absent at the Mapo Hall venue of the installation.

The governor, however, stated hierarchical order by-which the new kings, existing kings and community leaders (Baale) would be respected. Governor Ajimobi stated that the Olubadan of Ibadan would henceforth be addressed as "His Imperial Majesty," while members of the Olubadan-in-Council, who were elevated to Kingship position would be addressed as "Your Royal Majesty," with community leader otherwise called "Baale" in Yoruba would be expressed as "Your Royal Highness."

The members of Olubadan-in_Council present at the centre of the event were Otun Olubadan, Sen. Lekan Balogun; Asipa Olubadan, Eddy Oyewole; Balogun Olubadan, Owolabi Olakuleyin; Osi Balogun Olubadan, Tajudeen Ajibola; Asipa Balogun Olubadan, Latifu Adebimpe; Ekaarun Balogun Olubadan, Dr. Kolawole Adegbola; Ekeerin Olubadan; Abiodun Kola-Daisi; and the Ekaarun Olubadan, Amidu Ajibade.

However, Osi Olubadan and former Oyo State Governor, AbdulRasheed Adewolu Ladoja was absent at the ceremony where Baales were also elevated to the position of kingship.

Among the elevated Baales were Onido of Ido, Onijaye of Ijaye, Oniroko of Iroko, Alakufo of Akufo, Oloke of Okelade-Okin, Onikereku of Ikereku, Alawotan of Awotan, Ololodo of Olodo, Olofa of Offa, Elegbeda of Egbeda, Onilagun of Lagun, Alaba of Aba-Nla and the Alakanran of Akanran.

The governor, however, urged the governor not to allow himself be used by those he alleged to be his political opposition politicians to cause chaos in the city.

The decision was being taken to foster the chances of Ibadan to get a new Ibadan State though the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Adetunji and former Oyo State Governor who is also Osi Olubadan of Ibadan land believed the reposition would pose threat to Olubadan in the nearest future.
